2014 James Publishing Policy Changes

Greetings! First, our staff would like to thank you for being a valued customer of James Publishing. Without you, we wouldn’t exist, and we greatly appreciate your loyalty and business. Please feel free to get in touch with us any time at 866-72-JAMES with questions, comments, criticisms, or suggestions.

Those of you who have been with us for the long haul know that we have always placed an emphasis on value and providing the highest quality materials at the best possible price point. For this reason, we haven’t raised our book prices in roughly three decades, making James Publishing the most steadfast, cost-effective option for legal books in the industry.

However, in 2014 we are making some policy changes that will affect many of our clients. In an attempt to be proactive, we wanted to explain these changes directly on our website so you, our customers, could review them prior to making additional purchases. We remain committed to providing an exceptional product at a highly competitive price, but the skyrocketing costs associated with shipping and other business expenditures has necessitated the following changes.

Shipping

As shipping costs have steadily increased over the past several years, we have kept our book prices static to provide our customers with the best value possible. However, offering free shipping is no longer feasible due to the extreme costs associated with the practice. Therefore, we no longer offer free shipping for prepayment with credit cards on book and supplement orders. Clients must pay for shipping with their orders in 2014 and beyond.

Returns

All of our inventory now resides at a fulfillment center instead of our company warehouse, meaning that returned products can no longer be easily integrated back into inventory like they were in 2013 and prior years. For this reason, we no longer accept returns for our products and all sales are final. Our official Return Policy page (http://jamespublishing.com/return-policy/) has been updated with this information. If you have a question about a particular book prior to placing an order, please call 1-866-72-JAMES and ask for sales representative Sandra. She will be able to help ensure that you purchase the correct title(s) for your firm.

We greatly appreciate your understanding regarding these new policy changes and hope that they will not be a burden in any way. We value your business and hope to continue serving you for years (or decades!) to come.

Sincerely,

The James Publishing Team
