Elizabeth (Libby) Hubbard is the name partner in the firm of Hubbard and O'Connor, LTD. in Chicago, Illinois. Since 1981, the firm’s practice has been concentrated in employment discrimination litigation and employee rights in both state and federal courts. Prior to opening her own law firm, Ms. Hubbard was employed in the area of employee benefits, civil rights and labor union representation in private practice. Ms. Hubbard is a frequent speaker and writer on the topics of sexual harassment, age discrimination and plaintiff’s employee rights legal practice for continuing education seminars. She was co-counsel on the case of Marek vs. Chesney, 473 U.S. 1 (1985), which established the parameters of offers of judgment in civil rights litigation. Ms. Hubbard has been active in the Illinois Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, most recently as treasurer/secretary. In her “spare” time, Libby is a scuba diver.
